Home Sweet Home

We were back home to Salak Tinggi. Arrived at 11pm Saturday night after family gathering on Mr. Fruitheart's side. First we thought of going back on Sunday morning, but Mr. Fruitheart changed his mind. He said, it's cosy to drive at night rather than morning, it's a bit hot. Plus, he said I was homesick.

I was ok with that, since he had to service his car too.

I cooked a lot of dishes during lunch. Fish, meat and chicken. Wow! I can't believed it myself. Done in two hours. The taste? Hmm.. responses: I need to put a bit less this, much of that, need to put more this, need to less that. I'll take that as positive complaints. My dad and my small boy ate twice! I am very happy yes I am. Mr. Fruitheart ate a lot too, even though he did not said, 'Pandai isteri abang masak'.

The Maroon Day

It's the day when everyone is wearing their maroon shirt. Except me. I feel like.. newbie? Alien? It's the open day for our department. The actual event will be held some other level, so no one is coming to the upper floor.

When they sent out the email, I was away thousand miles from home. Been to my own remote island, Krabi. Don't expect me to check my office mail. No no.. those days were left long time ago. If anyone asked, I would say.. I am the left out employee haha.. Oh wait..! I shall say, I am special.

I remembered few years ago in my previous company, we were given orange shirt. Just because the top management is trying to win a contract. So when the customer came for a visit, they would be amazed. Duh!! It's not striking orange, but oh boy some people don't look good in it ok. Sometimes, those people who chose the color don't think would it look good on others? Selfish!

Maroon? Hmm.. I believe it suits better than ORANGE. I have been asked what my shirt size is, and of course they don't have anymore S. Left only XL and XXL and XXXL. I can wear it, but to bed only. Making it as my pyjama. So I will sit down quietly at my cubical. Just realized, there's few people also not wearing it.

P/S: SO WHAT if I don't wear it?!

Paul The Octopus Has Died

Breaking news. I may be the last person to know it. Yes, Paul the Octopus who once made his success and fame during this year's football World Cup has died.

Paul had reached the octopus old age of 2 1/2 years and died in his tank on Tuesday morning at the Sea Life aquarium in the western German city of Oberhausen, spokeswoman Ariane Vieregge said. (taken from Yahoo Sports)

He is the most famous eight leg sea creature who correctly predicting the winners of all Germany's World Cup games, and until the final. He is the biggest story than the World Cup itself.

Despite he had a fight with another creature who is also trying to be famous by predicting who's going to win for the final match, he is still the best! Although I don't like him because he predicted Germany lost, and want to fried him, cooked or barbecued him.. I still find him as an interesting creature.. So, will there be another creature like it? We shall see.. R.I.P Paul the Octopus.

My Name Is Old

This conversation took place few days back, inside the car on our way back home after faily lunch..

My small man: Mama, my name is old.
Me: Old?
My small man: I want to change my name. I want Ben.
Me: Ben????
My small man: It's like Ben 10 mom. My little brother we can call him Kevin, and little sister call Gwen.
Me and Mr. Fruitheart: Laughing out loud!

And yesterday, he was so excited telling me all about the movie he watched. Sammy, the sea turtle. And guess what? He even told us to call him Sam. Mr. Fruitheart is Ray and me Shelly. Oh brother! Do you think you can simply changed your name is it son?

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. ~Winston Churchill

I can say it is SO TRUE! It will be a never ending stories when we talked about people's attitude.

Both positive and negative employees’ attitudes travel quickly in the workplace. Working around positive persons is a delightful and exciting experience. He/she can make you feel more motivated. Likewise, working near a negative person is very likely to cause you to turn negative. A positive work environment speaks its merits for itself. It is obvious from noticing the productivity and efficiency of workers who not produce at a high level but also makes it easier for others on the team to stay positive and produce more. In the same manner, negative workers can turn others negative.

Very well said up there huh? Ok, I have to admit here sometimes I do have problems with other people attitude. I mean bad ones. Tell me who doesn't?? I feel annoyed. I may not have the courage to tell the person directly to their face, but you can surely tell by how I'm behaving. I have the I-don't-like-you face. That's what I have been told by my friend.

Sometimes we complained, but have we ever think if we're in that person shoe? How does it feel? How can we do it? Can we do everything?

Some of your attitude affects people around you. Just before you talked bad things about others, take a look at yourself first. Maybe you didn't realized that you also had it. I'll take note of that to myself as well. In addition it is undoubtedly, none of us can remain positive all the time. I too have my own bad ones. *blush*

P/S: Just another day at work.

Marriage Joins Two People In The Circle Of Its Love

25-09-10, on this date a month ago.. I married a man who once was a stranger. A man later who became my best guy friend ever. Now he is the man who will always be with me 24/7 for the rest of my life.. my husband.

Marriage Joins Two People In The Circle Of Its Love
by Edmund O'Neill (b. 1929)

Marriage is a commitment to life, the best that two people can find and bring out in each other. It offers opportunities for sharing and growth that no other relationship can equal. It is a physical and an emotional joining that is promised for a lifetime.

Within the circle of its love, marriage encompasses all of life's most important relationships. A wife and a husband are each other's best friend, confidant, lover, teacher, listener, and critic. And there may come times when one partner is heartbroken or ailing, and the love of the other may resemble the tender caring of a parent or child.

Marriage deepens and enriches every facet of life. Happiness is fuller, memories are fresher, commitment is stronger, even anger is felt more strongly, and passes away more quickly.

Marriage understands and forgives the mistakes life is unable to avoid. It encourages and nurtures new life, new experiences, new ways of expressing a love that is deeper than life.

When two people pledge their love and care for each other in marriage, they create a spirit unique unto themselves which binds them closer than any spoken or written words. Marriage is a promise, a potential made in the hearts of two people who love each other and takes a lifetime to fulfill.

Leaving My Boys

Ahhh.. It's Monday again. Finally we had some weekend at home yesterday. But still, I didn't get my afternoon nap. After lunch Mr. Fruitheart said.. after this it's your favourite time right? Yes! Yes! Ended up watching movie Knight and Day. Duh!

So today, mommy went to work leaving the two boys at home. Mr. Fruitheart is on leave, tired working maybe. 7am my small man already awake. They sent me to work and it was the first time my small man stucked in traffic jam so early morning. Boy he was complaining all the way. Haha.. Reached office around 8. They even said to me 'Be good' before I left the car. Huh! I am always good.

I hope the house will not be like sinking messy Black Pearl ship later when I came back from work.

Aww.. He's Sweet

Mr. Fruitheart: Sayang nak beli purse ape?
Me: Bonia
Mr. Fruitheart: Purse ke handbag?
Me: Purse. Handbag later
Mr. Fruitheart: Any particular purse?
Me: Bonia (Dalam hati, rase dah bagi tahu dah tadi)
Mr. Fruitheart: Tau lah. Dah ade design yang berkenan ke?
Me: Owh. Tak ade lagi. Tapi nak yang panjang with zip. Yang macam buku tu. (Main bantai je macam buku haha)
Mr. Fruitheart: Oooo.. nanti kite pegi beli yea sayang.
Me: Nanti?
Mr. Fruitheart: Kalau bulan ni ade duit extra.. kite gi beli. If not kite beli next month. Boleh ke?
Me: Kalau next month nak yang mahal. (Demand pulak tetibe, mengada mode)
Mr. Fruitheart: Ape yang lagi mahal dari Bonia? (Die tahu ade, huh!)
Me: Bally. Chanel.
Mr. Fruitheart: Sanggup ke nak beli purse beribu-ribu tu sayang?
Me: Tak pun. Saje je.
Mr. Fruitheart: Hehehe (He knows me better!)

He's being sweet! I know he will be reading this. And I know for sure he would say something like this. I am not sweet eh? Or I know I am sweet.

When I.. Say I Love You

"I was thinkin about her, thinkin about me, thinkin about us, where we gonna be, open my eyes... It was only just a dream" ~~ Just A Dream - Nelly

Only that, for me it was not only just a dream. It came true this time. Kept on playing that song like 20 times today. My new addiction. Mr. Fruitheart said, 'boleh rosak mp3 tuh'. Yeah right.

When I think about the person I love.. I feel calm, happy and the love that could make me smile and heart beat faster. Yeah the spark. All of the problems and heart ache fade away, just to see him smile with those loving eyes. At that moment, I can afford to close my eyes, smile and forget about everything. Nothing else matters. That's how I realize I am happy with somebody.

When I say I love you, it's forever. I won't be giving you 100 reasons for that. My love for you grows from a long lasting relationship, from being strangers to best friends to lovers and now husband and wife. The sweetest thing was when you've been told 'I'm afraid of losing you' knowing that you are loved so much.. too much!

World Romantic Islands.. More Holiday

I'm in the mood of vacation. My last vacation was 24 days ago. Seems like I don't have any for long time. Just in my head huh? Hehe.. Shh.. we got a holiday voucher. Yay! Where to? It's in Peninsular Malaysia only. Just wait for the update soon. I mean really soon.

While I was searching for 'our holiday destination' on Yahoo!, there was this article 'World's Most Romantic Islands'. Ahaaaa.. very fascinating and yes it caught me. Hehe.. I love beaches and islands. What I don't like is, I am sea sick. Ughh!! But that is not going to stop me from going there. Naah ahh ahh..

Here's the top 10:

Rangali Island, The Maldives
*underwater restaurant and kicking back in the over-water spa. ~~ Aaaaahhhh..!! So nice.

Molokai, Hawaii

Capri, Italy

St. Lucia, Caribbean
*gorgeous beaches and verdant cocoa plantations. ~~ More beaches!

Bocas del Toro, Panama

*this group of islands is all about low-key relaxation with a Latin American flavor, pitch-perfect for sybarites who don’t want to pack a designer bikini. ~~ I don't care about bikini. Do you think it is this gorgeous??

Catalina Island, California
*California girls woo ohh ohh.. Katie Perry!

Santorini, Greece *striated cliffs and black-sand beaches don’t hurt

Barbuda, Caribbean
*Barbuda features just a handful of high-end hotels. ~~ So blue! I want to jump there this instance!
Barbuda, Caribbean Claire Frank

Laucala Island, Fiji
*There are just 25 cottages on this privately owned resort, which occupies the entire island, each with a private pool, dining pavilion, and outdoor hot tub and shower. ~~ Those who wants privacy.

Pamalican Island, The Philippines

*You’ll find only one resort here -- Amanpulo. Beachcombers can navigate the entire island on foot in less than two hours, keeping their eyes out for baby sharks, kingfishers, and sea turtles, which lay their eggs here between March and October. ~~ I am animal lover haha..

This year only, I think I had and will have 4 vacation. Not long days, short days only. Maybe if we went to Paris or Gold cost we will have 2 weeks vacation. Hehe.. Murah rezeki, amin. Syukur alhamdulillah.

Plus, next year my small man will attend his year one, so we could not have frequent vacation. He needs to study more. So, it's time to pamper ourselves again. Beach here we come!

My Hobbies

A hobby is an activity or interest that is undertaken for pleasure or relaxation, typically done during one's leisure time. (from wikipedia)

I believe I still have my old hobbies which are; reading, watching movies, window shopping, afternoon nap, lazying in front of TV and surfing the net for hours! Hah! Now I believe all of these new hobbies had taken over:

Cooking (making breakfast most of the time), washing, cleaning, pampering, ironing. Used to do for one, now make it triple. OK, I know all housewives and working mother also do that. I am not complaining. Just that I spent more time on each of that. And I have lesser time for my other 'hobbies'. You get what I mean?

When I get tired, I like to go straight to bed. It is the best! I can do the reading, surfing the net or watching TV later. Or next day or when I have time. Haha.. sounds sad huh?

I remember a friend of mine once told me, when you're a mother and wife, there is no ME time. Just when you want it, then you have some 'mom' task to do. So that is consider your 'ME' time.

Leisure by W.H. Davies

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs,
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can,
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

2010 Indeed Year of Ben 10

This conversation took place in my room. When we were about to take a nap after our long hour journey from PD. My small man was busy playing his Ben 10 computer games beside our bed.

My small man: Mama, I want three Ben 10 ultimate alien toys. Who will buy it for me?
Mr. Fruitheart: Ask mama to buy. Daddy don't have enough money.
My small man: Emm.. ok. I want Humungousaur, Spidermonkey and Chromastone.

Me: Three is too much. Mama also don't have money. My office did not give me my salary yet.
My small man: I want Ben 10 toys at KLCC.
Me: If you want three then I will buy it for you on your birthday next year. On 27th May ok?
My small man: Ok.

There was a paused and everyone was silent. He was still looking at those aliens picture. Suddenly..

My small man: Mama, then I don't want Humungousaur, Spidermonkey and Chromastone. I want it next year. I want you to buy for me Four Arms and Cannonbolt. Can mama?
Mr. Fruitheart: Hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Parents always try to avoid, but when you have smart kids.. sometimes you loose, no matter how smart you are!

Weekend Supposed To Be A Rest Day

Saturday and Sunday supposed to be our relaxing, lazying day at home or having fun activities. Our weekend were not wasted, it's fully occupied since the week we got married. Seems like every weekend we have our own agenda to this and that, and to go here and there. Oh and last weekend, we went to PD.

Went for a team building event. Reached at Thistle Hotel around 11 on Friday night. After shower I went straight to bed while Mr. Fruitheart spent time with his friends. I can't stay up much longer, the bed and pillow were so nice and comfy and huggable!

The next morning after breakfast, started our first activity. Oh, sorry my bad I don't know what all those 3 activities we had. All I know, we had to walked on a line cable with a friend. Not sure how many metre from the ground, it's quite high. I was not afraid to go up, I was afraid I could fall down! I felt like I've left my heart there. Fuhhh! Challenging.

Next, have to climb a rope and touch the pad beside it. It was easy, but we need to used all our energy to climbed up. I was the first to went up. Hehe.. after that could sit down and watched everyone else. Tiring, exhausted and I got sun burned! It was really hot. Uwaaaaaa.. sun burned from Krabi also didn't vanished yet, now I got another. Ugh!

I feel that would be the last time I joined. I don't think I have the energy or strength to it anymore. When we are getting near the 'older' age, I feel I had done everything, enjoying my life. And now it's time to slow down and take really good care of my life. OMG! I feel OLD!!

Later in the evening, just before dinner we had funny games activities. Err.. it was not funny actually. Indoor games and some even had gone up to the room to get some sleep! I watched the others played water polo. Didn't bring my swimming clothes, so just sat beside the pool.

We had Chinese dinner set. I tell you, the dessert was really nice. Don't remember what's the name, but it had coconut, lemon and brown color. At 10.30 went to bed. So nice! Checked out around 9 the next day after breakfast. Hah! That was my weekend. I feel like I have been working seven days straight and don't have the energy anymore. I missed my afternoon nap!

Sayang Call Umah (Honey Call Home)

That was the text message from Mr. Fruitheart. Without waiting further or replying his text, I dialed MIL's phone number. Ring! Ring! My heart beating fast. I know it's about my small man.

My MIL answered the phone.

Me: Hello, mama call Nizam just now? Kenape dengan Syahmie?
MIL:  Aah, TV kat atas tu suddenly service not available. Mama tak tahu nak buat.
Me: (dalam hati dah gelak besar, panic sangat I ni) Oooo.. Syahmie bising tak boleh tengok lah.
MIL: Aah, nah cakap dengan papa.
FIL: Haa Fara, kat TV screen atas tu service not available. Papa dah try check kat signal, kaler merah je. Dah cube on off pun tak boleh.
Me: ASTRO problem kot. Share dish yang same kan?
FIL: Same dish. Papa off gune remote yang macam tajam tu kan, yang nampak buruk lame tu, tak boleh gak. Yang peliknye TV ASTRO bawah ok je. Dah on off TV dengan ASTRO pun tak boleh.
Me: Ooo.. pastu Syahmie bising lah ni die tak boleh tengok?
FIL: Aah (sambil ketawe). Papa cakap kat die, atuk pun tak tahu.
Me: Tak pe lah papa, balik nanti kite orang tengok ASTRO tu.

While typing this entry I smiled and laughed. It's just about he could not watched the TV! I told myself, why I have to be so freaked out when everytime Mr. Fruitheart asked me to call home. Mummy got panic attacked! Hmmm.. what to do, I am very much worried about my small man. Although I know, he behave without me and can take care of himself very well. Which I don't believe it's my spoil son who is in very good behaviour in front other people.

P/S: Note to myself, RELAX!

Nine Words Women Use

This was forwarded to me by my collegue. I know it's just for our fun reading pleasure. Just laugh, we all know.. not only woman used this.. men too sometimes.

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing : This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission.. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake..

(7) Thanks : A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F--- off!

(9) Don't worry about it, I'll do it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

My Thursday

So many things I did today. Continued shopping to KLCC. Went to Isetan and Parkson, searching for track bottom. It's for my adventure day this Saturday.

Yesterday I've been to Pavillion to search for it, didn't found any within my budget. All above RM100. It is the middle of the month, so I need to really careful with my spending. I guess, I will have to search at JJ later. Oh yea, forgot to mention Isetan and Parkson, they have SALE! Just when I don't have enough cash, you guys hang up all the 50% discount banner. Grrrr!!

Sadly, I have missed the 10-10-10 sale from La Senza the other day, and today they sent me another text message about the 30% off. Aaaaaaaaaaa.. temptation is everywhere!

So the money that was meant for the track bottom has been used to renew my driving license. It expired on 22nd September 2010! Just realized it yesterday. Haha.. totally forgot. Went to the nearest post office and renew it there. Done within 10 minutes. Great. Lucky enough I had not met any police traffic officer.

Next, I wasn't feeling too hungry. Bought pretzels from Auntie's Anne. Bought the wrong one, should have chose the one with chocolate or cinnamon. Taste a bit salty though, hmm.. Finished it anyway.

Mr. Fruitheart texted me and told me to call home. I know it was  something related to my small man. I called and MIL said, he wanted to play computer games. Haha.. oh boy! I was worried. I told him later when I am back from work I will let him play. Pheww.. I can breath easily after that.

Our Latte Factor

Some of you might asked, what is Latte Factor? I was introduced to it by Mr. Fruitheart who read a book written by David Bach - 'Smart Couples Finish Rich'. The book teaches couples of all ages how to work together on their finances as a team. You can go to his website David Bach - Live Rich.Finish Rich. Some of his advise and method are useful to us Malaysian. Not all in his books we can fit into our daily lives.

~The Latte Factor is a metaphor for those unnecessary "little" expenditures that we waste our money on, without realizing how much they add up to. What keeps us living from paycheck to paycheck is that we spend more than we make on stuff we don’t need. The amount you are throwing away on non-essentials is your Latte Factor. If you were to take that money and devote it to savings, before you know it you’ll start building a fortune!~

Why am I writing this? I wanted to share what we have started doing and still continue with it. Seriously, it gives us the excitement to see our money grow. Your latte factor could be your expenses on cigarettes, coffee, snacks, newspapers, magazine, fast/junk food and the list goes on.

Here is how we do it, example our lunch latte. We allocated each of us RM10. Normally, we spend RM6 or RM7 a day. So we will have balance RM 3 or RM4. At the end of the week we would have RM30 (RM3 for example). At the end of the month, we would have RM120. So in a year, we have RM1440. Yes!! We can go shopping, or pamper ourselves.

You can do that too on other expenses. By doing this, my beloved Mr. Fruitheart had quit smoking. Because he really could save a lot. And now when the ciggie price is up to RM10 per box.. just imagine how much you can save per month. Let's say RM160? That's a lot right.

We don't even realize how much we're actually spending on these little purchases. If we did think about it and change our habits just a little, we could actually change our destiny.

What's for Breakfast?

I've been surfing the Internet looking for breakfast recipes and snacks. I believe all that I find can be made easily, however the problem are ingredients. Some of it can easily be found in supermarket. Oh, I know we can changed the recipes up to our needs. Just that, I am not sure if my small man can take it. I know Mr. Fruitheart can.

My small man is one kid that is fussy about food. He doesn't eat veggies, (tell me which kid doesn't, I know some like it). Usually for breakfast he had 'roti canai', 'nasi lemak', chicken nugget with fries, biscuits, even chocolate and ice cream! I had hard time forcing him to eat proper breakfast. Yea, I know.. I don't have the correct way of approaching him.

So now, I am scratching my head what to prepare for both of them. Hmm.. I even searched how to cook scrambled eggs. I only how to scrambled the eggs my way hehe. As long as it taste good, fine with me. I am still not used to prepared Mr. Fruitheart's breakfast. He will have oats on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The other two days, Tuesday and Thursday he will have scrambled eggs. Or is it the other way round? See I even confused myself! Oh boy!

Also today, Mr. Fruitheart had stomach ache. Could it be because he ate the not well cooked oats prepared by me?

Need to include other breakfast for him and my small man. Like cereal or make bread toast. Just need the delicious, easy and simple recipes. I've been searching here Kaboose. It is where I found banana dog in a bun. It's yummy! We have tasted it. No, they did not asked to include a dog in it, FYI.

Wedding Gifts

After 18 days only I managed to update entry about our wedding gifts. You can say that I am busy hehe.. Also, I am in the stage of uploading honeymoon pictures on facebook. Still selecting which can be posted.

Thank you so much to those who were kind enough to give us all those lovely wedding gifts. We both really appreciate it so much, no matter how small or how big it is. Few of my wedding wishes also did came true! Yay!! Hehe..

My wish came true!

With underwater cover!!

This was one we used for our honeymoon the other day. We were not used to it, so we hardly took pictures under the water.. hehe. Maybe our next vacation.

Don't worry not going to upload all of those gifts here, takes time to upload the page hehe.. I love all my wedding gifts! Again, thank you!!

Just another day, 10.10.10. Many of us view it as special day. Especially those who married on this date. I admit, sometimes I do feel date is important hehe.. We used to decide we wanted to get married on this date. After long talk and discussion and considering everything, we chose 25th September 2010. The date when we started dating.

It seems like only yesterday, we talked about 08.08.088, 09.09.09 and now this.. 10.10.10. I bet next year, 11.11.11 and the next year 12.12.12, would be another day we would talked about around globe.

So yesterday, Malaysians viewer watched wedding of the year. Our first Malaysian astronaut Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor with Dr. Halina Mohd Yunos at PICC, Putrajaya. They called it 'Persandingan Kayangan'. We watched their live wedding on TV3. I love her dress, beautiful and gorgeous. I feel like I wanted to do again the wedding ceremony. Mr. Fruitheart said, we can. But only on our 50th anniversary. That's sure a long time honey.

Some of us celebrated wedding, and some might celebrated with new additional family members. Babies of course! So far I have not heard or received news if my friends had delivered new baby. It sure nice to have a nice date for birthday huh?

One of my cousin also got engaged on this date. So I was really busy this two days, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night, MFIL cousins visited us and late at night around 11.30 we reached my mother's house. We were both exhausted. I don't feel I have weekend! Came back to KL on Monday morning after we collected our letter of marriage. Sent Mr. Fruitheart to work, me and my small man headed home. I of course work from home, MIL went to Kuala Selangor. Oh boy I was so sleepy now.

Aha and one thing for sure I missed was the La Senza 10.10.10 promotion! Ughh..!!

Bukan ape, I ni kan baru kahwin. Ececeh.. Hehe.. Pulak tu semalam kan Khamis malam Jumaat. Pukul 9.30 dah tidur. Pagi esoknya Mr. Fruitheart pulak cakap, semua orang heboh Khamis malam Jumaat tu best, especially untuk orang yang baru kahwin. Saye rase tak ade ape-ape pun. Mau tak gelak besar I ni mendengarnye.

Sepatutnye setiap hari adalah sama istimewa untuk suami isteri. Tak perlu tunggu sampai Khamis malam Jumaat baru nak 'on' je. Haipp! Ayat I masih berlapis dan berlapik lagi ok.

How Do You Dress?

My answer, dress that fit me well. Simple clothing that fits well is far better than fancier clothing that just "doesn't look right." Correct?

This morning, since it's Friday.. as usual I wear the blue jeans which I bought 2 years ago. Boot cut jeans. I was about to leave the room when Mr. Fruitheart called me.

'Tukar lah jeans lain. Pakai yang lagi satu tu.'
'Selebet je saye tengok.'
'Then buy me new one.'

Still smiling, I picked up my PDI jeans and changed.

'Kalau dulu saye pakai, awak tak sempat tegur suruh tukar pun kan. Sekarang direct on the spot dah kene'.
'Of course!'

I liked that Diesel jeans. Although it's quite baggy and not tight. I think it has been almost 3 years since I last bought a pair of jeans. Oh and my office attire too. Maybe it's time for shopping again? You bet! Year end sale, I'll be waiting!

Merah Itu.. RedMummy

Merah itu berani, merah itu garang.. merah itu redmummy, dia seorang yang sangat riang.. Haha.. entah ape-ape pantun. Janji ade rhythm kan.

First time I dengar REDMUMMY.COM masa blog walking. Seriously tak ingat blog siapa. Terima kasih banyak-banyak kat tuan blog tu. Kalau tidak, memang tak kenal siapa Redmummy.. hehe.. Dari nama blog redmummy, I dah agak mesti ada kaler merah. Betul pun!! Banyaknye merah!! Kalau bet dah dapat RM10 ye dokkkk.. I pun suke kaler merah, FYI. (bukan membodek nak menang perfume ye kak)

Rasanya dah enam bulan menjadi pembaca blog redmummy. Sekarang ni nak load page blog memang cepat. Rupenye dah tak ade banyak widgets ngan iklan sangat dah. Blog redmummy penuh dengan cerita sehari-hari dia as a wife, mother, daughter, worker and also blogger. Light reading, which I like. Sangat santai.

Yang I suka part dia pergi shopping ngan bercuti-cuti di luar negara. Jeles pun ada. Hehe.. Haa semalam punya entry, dia buat pasal Dove. I tak pakai Dove, tapi yang I tertarik sebab dia explain conditioner itu penting!! I memang tak pernah pakai conditioner, I think it's a waste of.. errr time and what for? As long as my hair wangi and bersih cukup. Tapi bila redmummy explain tu, ada betulnya juga kan. Jadi lepas ni, akan pakai lah ye kak.

Other than that, sometimes if I don't have idea what to write.. I akan surf redmummy. Ada sekali tu entry pasal beli hadiah untuk gegirl. Haa.. at the same time kebetulan, I pergi shopping di KLCC dengan my small man, singgah Toy's R Us. Lepas tu, my entry is about my small man and his toys. Sangat berterime kasih dengan blog redmummy yang banyak bagi tips. Tak kira tips kecantikan, penjagaan diri (dah owner pun pompuan kan), tips nak berblogging, shopping (I likeeeee!!) dan macam-macam lagi.

So, vote for me! Aper laaa, promote diri sendiri.. Nak menang hadiah ni. First time masuk ok!

Mintak permission untuk letak gambar kecik bawah ni ye kak.. TQ!

Nasi Lemak for Breakfast

As a Malaysian, what would be your most favourite food for breakfast? Common answer, roti canai with teh tarik and nasi lemak. Direct translation for 'nasi lemak' means ‘rice in fat’. Funny?

The name is derived from the cooking process whereby rice is soaked in rich coconut cream and then the mixture steamed. Sometimes knotted screwpine (pandan) leaves are thrown into the rice while steaming to give it more fragrance. Traditionally, this comes as a platter with cucumber slices, small dried anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, hard boiled egg and hot spicy sauce (sambal).

So for today's breakfast I had nasi lemak ayam sambal! I tell you, this 'mak cik' sambal is so delicious. One month and three weeks I had not eaten it. Eh no, I did not eat it every day.. Only two or three times a week.

Mr. Fruitheart had his breakfast at home if you guys were wondering what he's been eating. He had to control, or else.. we can see his round tummy! Haha.. As for me, I enjoy eating what I can.. of course healthy food and not too much of everything will do me just fine.

Mum and Son Connection

I'm back! I thought my-under construction-blog would take longer. Done in one day. I am satisfied as of now with my blog. And yes, it's back to the original layout and designs. I've removed some widgets and applied new one. Mr. Fruitheart said my blog looked messy earlier and he liked the older one which is the current I'm using better. Meanwhile, I will keep on searching new layout!

In this entry, I wanted to story about my son, my beloved, naughty, cute, active, spoiled, cry baby, adorable small man..! It has been a week since we stayed in Gombak, MIL house. It's pretty surprising that my small man can adapt to the new environment. He is doing good and well behave around MIL and Mr. Fruitheart. He listens!! However, he's not listening to me liked he used to :( I am not 'merajuk laaaa'.. Certain times when I told him to do things and kept telling him to do it, he would say no and easily cried. And, when he's been asked same thing few times he will cry and scream as well.

But when Mr. Fruitheart said once, he listens. The power of father. And mummy loses the control now. Haha.. Sometimes, it does feel hurt inside when he did not listen to me. I know, this is a new situation where he has Mr. Fruitheart, a guy in the family. He only has me previously. So I am telling myself, I still have my son; and slowly trying to understand and cope with it. Maybe it's time.. for him to act like man! No more crying son.

This lately, I noticed he did not eat much. If I asked him, then he would say nothing and asked twice he would cry. Why son? What's bothering you? He maybe not know how to tell, or I did not know how to approach? Hmm.. Takkan nak bagi makan KFC and McD je kan. There must be something!!

It is truly challenging although I have been a mother for 6 years to him, raising him alone without him having a 'father'. Despite people talking about my status (oh WTH I care).. I know I will and always be there with and for him. All that matters, we are happy together. Now we are even happier.

Motherhood is like the two sides of a coin - while you have the joys and the bliss of being around your child, the difficulties and the stress associated with it, cannot be ruled out as well.

Me.. At Work

After two weeks off I am back to the office, I guess you all know how so very lazy I am. Woke up early at 6, prepared breakfast for Mr. Fruitheart and small man. Shhh!! Don't laugh or say a word. Still new to it ok hehe..

Another new thing I will get used to is the bad traffic congestion! It really can make your blood go up. I tell you, with the bad Malaysian drivers attitude, you can die of cursing. The journey to the office which took you 20 minutes can be 1 hour. How frustrating and ridiculous is that?!

Told my small man to be very good boy with grandma. I do worry about him, but I know he will be just fine. I planned to work from home after lunch, but it depends. If he is ok, then I am ok too. I called home twice to checked on him. Poor Ringgo! The cat of course, my small man had been chasing him around.. haha. He's quite bored, got no friends to play with him except the cat. Soon when you start schooling son, you won't get bored.

In the office, my god! So many work.. ughh! So many colors too, amber, red, black. I'm talking about SLA's color. Stressed! Not enough man power.. but sharp at 6pm, packed my things and went straight back home. No no.. I'm not that hardworking to the extend I want to stay 5 mins after 6. Hope for better day tomorrow. Wednesday, either you're being productive or lazy hehe.

A note to myself: it's hard to find people who are being honest and true to you. Lots of people likes to talk about you behind your back.. be it good things or bad things. I'll share when I want to share, what I want to share. If you're not getting anything from me, then too bad.. you're in my I-cannot-believe-you-list.

Me.. A Wife

10 days being Mrs. Nizam.. already?? Hehe.. yes, it has been 10 days my friend. New house, new environment, new title - A WIFE, new family members and new additional task haha.. Tomorrow only I will be back to work. Hmm.. definitely lazy after 2 weeks vacation. I think I still remember how to switch on  my PC at the office.

Now I'm staying at MIL, until our house at TTDI is fully ready. I have been cleaning, re-arranging both our room and my small man's room for two days. I know, it will never end! Sampai sakit pinggang turun naik tangga. Today's lunch, goreng ikan bawal and masak sayur. My mother in law cooked fish curry. Err.. I masih lagi dalam mode menyesuaikan diri. So nak tunjuk skill memasak tu belum lagi lah kan.

Alhamdulillah, my small man can sleep by himself in his new room. He is also trying to adapt with the new environment. Hopefully, when I go to work tomorrow he will be alright I know, he will be just fine on his own as usual. He just need 'a friend' to play with. He did asked for a baby girl and brother faster. Haha.. I really don't know how he knows when I am married, he will get a brother or sister later. LOL! Kids nowadays. Patience my son, just enjoy the moment when you are still the only child.

Goodbye Honeymoon Day 4

Woke up at 7.30am. Packed all our things inside the tiny bag. We do need a bigger bag next time. Don't have enough time for breakfast, because our taxi which actually a minivan that can accommodate 12 people, picked us up at 8am. The taxi was already at the security guardhouse when we checked out. There were another two couples inside the minivan.

This time, the journey to Krabi Airport took us 1 hour 30 mins. The driver drove so fast that makes me feel I'm riding a roller coaster! We had our refreshments at a nearby cafe. The sales girl had mistakenly Mr. Fruitheart as local Thai people and had actually spoken Thai language with him.

We have to wait at the airport for2 hours before our flight arrived. And once again, I had manicure pedicure session while Mr. Fruitheart had foot massage.

Our flight AK805 departed from the airport at 3pm. Touchdown at LCCT 1 hour 20 mins later. There goes our vacation honeymoon, back to work on Monday for Mr. Fruitheart and Tuesday for me. Next countdown is Langkawi in December.. wohoo!

Snorkeling Trip Honeymoon Day 3

Woke up at 7am today, took shower and went for breakfast. We chose extra waffle with honey and chicken porridge this time. Yummy! At 8.30am Halim was already at the security guardhouse waiting for us. We stopped at the 7 Eleven to buy sun block. Let me tell you, they have like ten 7 Eleven shops there at one place!

We booked our taxi to Krabi Airport with Halim for the next day. It was much cheaper than the hotel rate. That's normal.

So we're ready for our trip. We were given a huge tail boat, just for the two of us and yes with two drivers. No wonder it costs us RM550! Complete with foods, drinks, fruits and snorkeling equipment. Mr. Fruitheart said, 'orang kaya tak sedar diri'. That's what we called, pampering ourselves honey.

Journey to Phi Phi Island took us one hour and 45 mins. Lucky for us the weather was good, sunny and the sky was clear. I guess the temperature must be around 29 deg Celsius. In the open blue green sea, we can see jelly fish. Awesome! We were told it was not the dangerous type, only the small ones. Not sure how true is that.

First stop was a spot for snorkeling. I would say, it was not that beautiful. Dead corals and yes, there were lots of colorful fishes. Due to our first time using the underwater camera, we were not expert enough to use it.

Next stopped, Maya Bay.. stunningly beautiful beaches. Maya Bay has become the main tourist attraction of Phi Phi since The Beach was filmed here in 1999. It was always very popular before the film but now people around the world who haven't even heard of Phi Phi have certainly heard of Maya Bay. Read here for All About Maya Bay

After about half hour spending time there.. we went to Viking Cave which is located at the Phi Phi Ley island. The Viking Cave is a cave right at sea level filled with bird's nests. Painted on the walls are ancient color paintings resembling Viking boats hence the name Viking Cave.

Next was my fave activity, SHOPPING! We bought few souvenirs. The place was full of people, yes they have bars and pubs, fish foot spa, massage spa, restaurants and souvenirs shop. It was like small town. The clock shows 2.45pm when we decided to go back to the hotel. We were exhausted!

At 5pm, both of us had whole body massage. It was superb! Dinner soon after that, and it was a really good time to sleep after whole day out and massage and rain.. so nice!
