Family Vacation: Kuantan Night Time

Night entry..yes, day one almost over. We went to Tanjung Lumpur for dinner. It is a traditional fishing village located near the mouth of Kuantan river. it is loosely translated into English as the "Cape of Mud'. (Source from Wikipedia).

There were lots of restaurant. We chose 'Ana Ikan Bakar Petai'. It was 6.45pm and the restaurant were already full of customers.

Lucky, we got our seat. We ordered 'tomyam ayam (chicken tomyam), kailan ikan masin (kailan salted fish), sotong goreng tepung (squid battered & fried), lala masak sambal (spicy lala), ikan siakap 3 rasa (3 flavors seabass)'. We wanted to taste 'ikan pari bakar' (grilled stingray), finished already. So disappointed.

Choosing seafood

Price list
Customers can select from variety of fresh seafood-ranging from fishes, squids, prawns, crabs and lala. Once you have picked your seafood, placed it in the basket and they will cook for you. Also, you can choose what cooking method you want, from 'stim (steamed), 3 rasa (3 flabours), masam manis (sweet sour), pedas (spicy), goreng tepund (battered & fried) or bakar petai (grilled).  I have been told that it was the signature style of cooking dish here. However, since we there was no pari (stingray), we didn't try the grilled (bakar petai).

Teasing each other while waiting for food
After 20 minutes, our dinner arrived. Bon appetite!

Another side of the restaurant

Told you the restaurant is facing the sea, and full parking!
Enjoy the pictures. Always worth thousand words right?

Poor fish, we ate you all up

Ooh lala

He does eat a lot
Left the place at around 8.30pm. Headed back to Teluk Chempedak beach to enjoy the night view. Lots of people there still. Back to the hotel soon after that. Sleep time.
