2011: Happy World Teachers’ Day

World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate the essential role of teachers in providing quality education at all levels. It also commemorates the anniversary of the 1966 signature of the UNESCO/ILO Recommendation Concerning the Status of Teachers. (from http://www.unesco.org)

We have teacher's day celebration here on 16th May every year. This is the first time I heard about World Teacher's Day. Gosh! So slow poke of me.

I want to wish all teachers around the world,
HAPPY WORLD TEACHER'S DAY!
