The May Babies Birthday Celebration

On last Saturday 25th May, we had our birthday celebration. Me, kiddo, baby girl and my brother in law. I think actually it was more to the kids. Oh well, we had our time when we were kids right?

The celebration took place at my in laws house. I ordered 2 cakes from Mr. Fruitheart's cousin that stay nearby. Kiddo has asked for a Hot Wheels cake so I requested the flavour to be chocolate moist cake. Baby girl doesn't have a theme so I just ordered rainbow cake for her.

Hot Wheels Birthday cake

Rainbow birthday cake
In addition I ordered, Angry Bird cupcakes and Princess cupcakes - 25 each. Cheese tart and cream puffs too. All were too delicious!

It was not a big celebration, we invited only families and neighbours. Approximately 60 people who showed up. I ordered buffet style for lunch. Nasi tomato, ayam masak merah, ikan masak gulai lemak, daging kicap, ulam and roti jala. Food was a OK. I guess I ordered the wrong combo. *sigh* And not a surprise when the only dish that finished early were the chicken.

My babies. Baby girl on 22nd May and kiddo on 27th May. Baby girl woke up at 6.30am and she only slept at 4.30pm. 10 hours of no sleep! She was too excited wasn't she? We were worried that she's going to be so tired and cranky because she didn't get her sleep, but not at all. She was busy herself, smiling and laughing at everyone. But no, no holding or hugging or kissing her. It's like, I'm nice to see, but not to hold.

P/S: I know both of them were so happy. And I am glad that all went well that day.

Happy 9th Birthday Adzreza Syahmie

My 8 year old son isn't 8 year old anymore. He turned 9 years old today. You know what, he has been anxious for today months ago, since early of the year!

We had our May babies celebration last Saturday. I'm going to post an entry about that later.

So what did kiddo get for his birthday? A set of wall Hot Wheels track, a bicycle, clothes and money. He had asked for the hot wheels long time ago, and he knew that he can only get it during his birthday.

He heard us talking about getting his baby sister a bicycle, and he wants it too. So we told him to ask his grandfather to buy. No no.. we are not bad parents, we use all the resources we have only. So the grandfather agreed. Yeah, grandfather loves their grandchild so much. He bought gifts for them but not the daughter, ME!

Dear Syahmie,

Your 1st till 8th birthday has passed, and now you’re already 9. You just keep getting better and I’m so happy for you. May good things always come your way. I thank God for giving me such a good son. You know sometimes mom and dad scolded you for your own good. We want the best for you and we also know you always do your best and make us proud. I am so proud of your achievement in everything, you accept every challenge and face them all with courage and support from us.

You surely know, you're loved a lot, each day the whole year through and are always wished the special things that mean the most to you. On this beautiful day, I pray to God to bless you with all the joy, happiness and glory in the world.

P/S: Daddy, mama and your baby sister loves you so much

Happy 1st Birthday Nur Leia Arissa

One year has passed by. On this date 22nd May 2012, I gave birth to my baby girl. 3.4KG healthy baby. I can still feel the pain you know.

I remember saying, "Your fault! Your fault!" "No, I don't want to give birth after this!." Yes, I said that to Mr. Fruitheart. And now I am pregnant again. God's power.

Baby girl, at 1 year old you are very active. You can walk, climb chairs, scream out loud, make funny faces, bullied your big brother, you show tantrums, pandai merajuk, pandai main kelip-kelip mata, still pick things on the floor and put into your mouth and oh you showed us how you fight for stuff you want. HEHE. You have a very high determination, never give up and daddy said you inherit that from him.
You like it when I read those picture books to you. It is good to know that you enjoy reading at young age. I did the same to your big brother too when he was little. Everytime we said fish, you said.. "ishh". And when we said cat and bird you would go "haaa haaa", looks like you were looking for them. That's awesome baby. We are still waiting for you to talk. I can't wait to hear the word "MAMA" for the first time.

Now you have 4 upper teeth and 2 front bottom teeth. You love to eat 'keropok lekor' so much. You are not afraid of strangers. Everyone wants to cuddle you and hold you in their arms. How can you blame them? You are just so darn cute! Well, I am the one who is afraid that you are OK with strangers. Because you are my precious baby girl.

You also enjoy playing in the water. See how happy you are? You can't even wait until the water is half full. You sleep in the middle of our bed every night. You don't like to sleep in your cot, I guess your little baby brother or sister would have to sleep inside there. Tidur lasak!

Arissa, the amount of joy and happiness you have brought into our life is larger than life itself. We pray and wish that you have a life full of joy, happiness, success, prosperity and love of friends, near and dear ones. Happy 1st Birthday!

P/S: Daddy, mama and abg Syahmie loves you so much.

Birthday Treat

"Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me.. happy birthday to Fara.. Happy birthday to me!."

Mr. Fruitheart brought me to Chili's for lunch yesterday. My birthday was yesterday, not today. Ehem. Before that, we did some house cleaning. It's fast when there were no children around. Especially the girl who likes to enter every room and picked everything. HEHE.

After lunch, we watched Hummingbird. Booorriinnnggggg.. *Yawn*. I watched it because of Jason Statham was in the movie.

Mr. Fruitheart asked me what I want. I did told him I want an LV white handbag, or a Tiffany and Co. ring would do. Very demanding huh this lady? HEHE. If I asked him, he said.. Samsung S4? iPad mini? So gadget minded. I had enough with gadgets at home belongs to him and kiddo.

So what did I get for my birthday? A watch. Swatch SKIN in white.

He did mentioned, he will be spending $$$ a lot on every May. A lot of celebration - Mother's day, wife's birthday, baby girl's birthday, kiddo's birthday. He added, he will be spending like this for the rest of his life. HEHE. He also remind me, he should get the same amount of $$$ present when it is his birthday. Uh oh. Then mama has to forked out a lot of money, because the other two doesn't have any work and salary yet. Waaaaa...

P/S: I should save RM500 a month until August. Phew!

This Thing Called Pregnancy Craving

What not to love during pregnancy? A lot! Except the 'nasties' syndrome called morning sickness, nausea, bloated, heart burn, dizzy, back ache and the list goes on.

Keep calm and enjoy pregnancy image

I am not eating a lot of rice this time around. Mr. Fruitheart said maybe baby likes western food. Is there such thing as western fruits? Because baby doesn't like papaya, guava or watermelon. Not now basically. Today, I suddenly crave for moist chocolate cake. Where to find at this time? No I don't want the cake from Secret Recipe. I want the one which look like this.

So yummy delicious tasty chocolate moist cake!

And I did googled for burritos too. Gosh! Baby wants MEXICAN FOOD??!! You don't like those oily, spicy food now? Why did you go for Mexican? No we do not have someone with Mexican blood in the family baby. *sigh*

I noticed I like to eat noodles a lot. Fried mee-hoon, spaghetti, curry mee and yes, western. Nachos sounds delicious now. Argh!

P/S: Why is it I crave for foods? Why can't it be handbag? A white LV hand bang perhaps?

2013: Happy Teacher's Day

Funny and cute baby picture scribbling on the board while holding his diaper? HEHE.

Another reason to love the month of May. The celebration of Teacher's Day. Thank you teacher for teaching me and guiding me during my years in school. And to my parents who will always be the teacher for me. THANK YOU!

P/S: During a test when the teacher passes by, you cover your answers with your hand so that the teacher can't see how stupid you are. - Yeah, I did that few times. *Blush*

Embarrassing Things Ever Blurted Out By Kiddo

I followed this one guy who blogged about his life as a single dad. I love to read his stories, very entertaining. My entry is about kiddo who sometimes likes to make fun of his mummy.

Here is the entry by Dan Pearce, Single Dad Laughing:
The Most Embarrassing Things Ever Blurted Out By Kids

"Teacher, my mother doesn't know Arabic language. She only knows English."

"Mama is senior citizen. She forgets easily."

I know there are a lot of things kiddo said. But, due to this 'pregnancy brain' I'm having right now it is quite hard for me to remember.

P/S: I wish I had this blog up long time ago so that I could read again all those moments which I know I can forget as I get older.

First Pregnancy Checkup

I had my first prenatal care (also known as antenatal care) last Friday. Boy I was so nervous! So many things going on my mind. How was the baby? How's my tummy? When is the EDD? Is there any unusual things inside my womb? I can't even concentrate on my work.

Yes, first thing for everything is always like that isn't it?

We went to see my usual gynae, Dr. Jaafar. He smiled and asked me.. "Any problem madam?" No problem doctor, only there is a construction going on inside my tummy. I wish I can say that to him.

So he took my blood pressure, asked me normal questions about my morning sickness and my weight is 51.5KG. Normal. So the scan begins. My baby is big already. I can see baby's hand, feet, back bone, nose, eyes and face. Last time when it was baby girl's turn, we did the scanning when she was about 1 month old. I can see the baby's shaking hands and feet. Looks like baby is saying.. "Hi mom. Hi dad. It's me!".

I did asked the condition of my womb. Alhamdulillah, everything looks good. Relief!

EDD as per the scan picture is 18th Nov 2013, based on my last period doc said it's 1st Dec 2013. End of the year for my 'anak bongsu.' HEHE. Three is enough. Looking at the society, price of goods, education, insurance, safety and everything.. they are not like in the 80's or 90's. And you know what, I couldn't believe myself that I'm gonna have 3 children of my own.

P/S: I told Mr. Fruitheart in advance, please do not throw my contraceptive pill after I deliever our baby.

The History of Our Baby Names

All my children had their name chosen even before they were born. Other than busy looking and buying baby's stuff, I am also busy in finding confinement lady and baby names.

I'm too excited aren't I? HEHE.

During my first child, I chose his name. Since the father, my ex-husband has this AS initial I also chose my boy to have the same, so it rhymes. I like the name Syahmie. Meaning - noble, clever, and brave. (mulia, bijak, berani). The first name is Adzreza, because I like Reza. On the Internet, the correct spelling is Redza, and the meaning is pleased (keredhaan). I added 'ADZ' in front to be the same as the father. It became Adzreza Syahmie.

For my baby girl, we listed few names. Nur Leia Arissa and Nur Zara Arissa. I saved Arissa for so long and finally I got it for my girl. Mr. Fruitheart chose Leia because of his crush to Marion Caunter and idol SM Nasaruddin (Marion's hubby) daughter name is Leia Rose. So my parents, my in laws and even kiddo was asked to choose. The most votes win. Nur - light (cahaya). Leia when I looked on the Internet it says child of heaven; heavenly flowers. (penyejuk dan pewangi di segala suasana)
While Arissa - determination, strong (azam, kuat) So, Nur Leia Arissa it is.

During last pregnancy we had prepared both names for boy and girl, if it's a boy it would be Adib Rifqi. Adib - high knowledgeable, courteous (yang berpengetahuan tinggi, beradab sopan). Rifqi/Rifqy - gentle, compassion (lemah lembut, kawan pendamping, rasa belas kasihan).

Recently, Mr. Fruitheart had told me he likes Nur Leia Ariana. Ariana - full of life. If it's a girl, again. Until further notice or until mummy didn't find any other interesting name that will be the name. I do like Airis, Leila, Elis, Elia and Azalea though. HEHE.

P/S: Would there be changes? We never know.

Confinement Packages / Pakej Berpantang

During my last pregnancy, I hired a confinement lady (CL) from Jemari tradisional to take care of me after I delivered my baby girl. This time around I have not decided yet where I will be staying during my confinement days and not sure if I will get the same CL from JT.

So, I have started to search for confinement lady / confinement packages / post natal packages / post natal care/ penjaga pantang / pakej pantang / pakej urut bersalin on the Internet. I found few that looks OK but some of the websites were not updated. I do not know if they're still on business.

Happy 54th Birthday Mom

Today 7th May my beloved mother Pn. Maznah Sarbini turned 54 years old. Gosh mom, you're old! HEHE.

Dear mom,
I wish you the best of health and happy always. I pray hard to Allah to give you strength and the courage to face each day and make you well again like you were before. It is sad for us, your children to see their mother not in good health. It's been too long mom. We missed the old you. Your laughter, jokes and your cooking the most.

I would never be able to show you how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. You were always there for me no matter sad or joy. I love you mom! Thank you so much for everything. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

The one with red blouse is my mother. I do not have her close and clear picture. Boo hoo hoo. I took this from my sister's IG. We bought the cake on last Saturday during our family dinner in conjunction with my mom's birthday. Chocolate Indulgence by Secret Recipe. Early birthday celebration.

P/S: Love and care for your mother while they're still with us. You do not know how you're going to miss them when they're gone..forever!

Me and The First Trimester

Fatigued. Tired. Vomit. Nausea. Heart burn. Back pain. Morning and evening sickness. Early sleep. Those were my very best friends now. No matter what I did, telling them to go away in my most soft voice, they won't leave me! :( First trimester 'nasties' I called them.

First Trimester: Starts with the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) and ends with the last day of the 13th week thereafter. (

OK. According to the due date calculator, I am 10 weeks pregnant and my first trimester should end in 2 weeks. 14 days more?? ARGH!

I know I am an experienced mother. I had 2 pregnancies experienced aren't I? Well, every pregnancy is totally different. This time around, I am not eating much. I can't each much at one time.

My first pregnancy, I like to eat papaya, koay teow kerang and sirap limau for drinks. Second pregnancy I like to eat a lot of watermelon until my father in law so worried and asked Mr. Fruitheart if it is OK for a pregnant lady to eat it. And yes I do love ice lemon tea from mamak stall too. I don't like the one from Lipton or Nestea. During end of my second trimester, I like the taste of Baskin Robbins jamoca almond fudge. Gosh! I can finish a small pint all by myself. No wonder baby girl doesn't like it when we put blanket on her. She's hot type of girl. LOL!

Talking about my fourth pregnancy, I had miscarriage once before my daughter. So based on doc's calculation, it's my fourth and not three. I hope everything goes well and smooth till the day I deliver my baby. I just need to be very careful due to the fact that I am no longer getting younger. 32 years old this year and no I can't believe it myself that I am going to have 3 children!

P/S: I should be doing my yoga, but my body won't allow it. Oh well, I wish I can start doing it after this 'nasties' first trimester end.

Me The First Time Voter for GE13

Welcome May! A month full of celebration. Birthdays, weddings, school holidays, vacations and lots more. And one of the most hot stuff is the Malaysia's General Election (GE13)which was held on 5th May 2013.

It's the first time I did my duty for my country. It was supposed to be my third time HEHE. Oh well, it's never too late for anything, right?

I didn't register myself. One day I got a phone call from a lady, she sure did told me she's from where but I couldn't remember. She told me where I should vote. Lucky the place is my hometown and not some other states. If not I have trouble travelling far. So the morning 5th May, I went to the polling station around 8.30am. The queue for registration was not THAT LONG. However, I've waited for about an hour and half to get my channel and number! Dah lah tengah pregnant, sorry cannot see my tummy yet so I didn't get the excuse to cut queue! Almost pitam juga la berdiri.

And the voting process doesn't take more than 2 minutes. *roll eyes*

My ugly blue manicure gone wrong.

Mr. Fruitheart had his turn voting in Ampang. We waited in the car until he is done. Nasib baik sekejap saja. Orang tak ramai keluar mengundi waktu tengahari. Semua sibuk mengisi perut.

And congratulations to those who won and those who not, try again next 5 years.

P/S: So much hatred, negative and disrespectful comments on social media especially facebook and twitter. That is why I never liked those who called themselves 'hard-core political supporters'. Look at what politics had done to you people?? Shame on you!
