A Mother's Motivation

I got this from facebook (jof of mom), and I wanted to save this so that one day my children can read it and well yeah, I hope they understand. Like what I have always been told, "Once you are a parent then only you'll know the feeling."

"Someday, when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a mother, I'll tell them:

I loved you enough to bug you about where you were going,
with whom, and what time you would be home.

I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover that your new friend was bad news.

I love you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your bedroom,
a job that would have taken me 15 minutes.

I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your actions
even when the penalties were so hard they almost broke my heart.

But most of all, I loved you enough to say no
when I knew you would hate me for it.
That was the hardest part of all.

P/S: There will always be rants and raving about being a mother, but whatever it is.. every mom that I know enjoyed it and would not exchange the experience and feelings for anything.

Wedding Anniversary - Fourth Year 250914

Every Year

Every year that I'm with you
Has been better than before;
It's hard for me to even think
How I could love you more.

Every year you've graced my life
Has been full of happiness;
I love your caring face, your voice,
Your tender, sweet caress.

Every year when this day comes,
I'm filled with love and pleasure;
Happy Anniversary, Love,
My joy, my delight, my treasure.

By Joanna Fuchs

Our marriage is the best thing in my life;
I love you my dear husband.. always have and always will

Early morning we wish each other happy anniversary, exchanged kiss and started our beautiful day with a nice breakfast at Oldtown White Coffee. Then this thought came to me, why can't we exchange kiss every morning? We've lost the good night kiss and good night sayang after we have our elder daughter? Uh oh.. not good. NOT GOOD. I do not know how we've lost it or where it went. Takkan bila umur dah 50 tahun baru nak buat semula? At that time, maybe he would say.. "There must be something you did."

Since we can't have a date night, we had lunch date at Ben's KLCC. I had to sent meeting invitation via outlook to block my own husband's calendar. Yeah, he is THAT busy.

And I bought new outfit just for today. I told him I have nothing new to wear on this special day. Hehe. Of course I don't want this to come out.. "Masa bercinta boleh pakai cantik bila keluar dating, lepas kahwin pakai je apa yang ada." I'm sure it happened to some married couple that I don't know. So I want to look pleasant and nice for him.

I had nasi ulam (the best I have ever tasted) and he had aglio olio.Ice cappucino for him and lychee lime for me. For dessert we had macadamia cheesecake. Ben's food has never failed us. Sedap!

We have known each other since 2006.. we were best friend, lovers, got engaged and finally married. I never thought someone like you would chose me to be your wife. I never thought someone like you would accept everything about me. I pray for us to be together forever as a family and share the happiness. Thank you for everything you have done for our family.

TAWC - Of Chicken, Beef, Fish and Veggies

It has been quite awhile I have not posted about my once a week meal. I have the BMS - Busy Mom Syndrome. But hey I can update for other stuff. Heh.

So last week was my cooking day. I went to market and bought my groceries. I spent total of RM80. Phew! One whole chicken cost me RM17 and 600gm of beef cost me RM20!

But at the end I got 4 packs of beef which is not bad actually. It can last for about 2 weeks meal. And for chicken I got 3 packs.

I cooked ayam masak merah dengan kacang peas, kari daging, asam pedas ikan tenggiri, sayur campur - brokoli, kobis bunga dan lobak; sayur goreng sawi. I still have ikan kembung which I need to cut and wash. I don't like to cut fish. Boleh jadi hancur ikan kalau tak buat betul-betul.

And this was the only picture I took. My refrigerator is full again. Happy me. Just to share with you, I took the recipes from all over the website. For Malay dish I prefer Dapur Tanpa Sempadan. Most of it I took from there and yes some dish I didn't follow 100% ingredients because I don't have any. As for Western meal, most of it is from, and yes all over the website where I always look for 'EASY' and "SIMPLE' keyword. Hehe. Time constraint.

As a result, I have my 2 weeks meal that either me or my husband can reheat for dinner.

P/S: Next time I'll maybe I will include the recipes as well.

Favourite Lyric of The Week #38 - Still Into You

Can't count the years on one hand
That we've been together
I need the other one to hold you.
Make you feel, make you feel better.
It's not a walk in the park
To love each other.
But when our fingers interlock,
Can't deny, can't deny you're worth it.

'Cause after all this time.
I'm still into you

It has not been good for us these past few months. Our children had been sick, on and off. Recently they had pinkeye or conjunctivitis. My second daughter had it first, then it affected her baby sister and it got me last.

I went for checkup and Doc said I had mild conjunctivitis. He gave me antibiotics, eye drop and few other medicine. My eye was red and swollen, looked like someone had punched it.
We are getting better, alhamdulillah. If I remember it correctly, the last time I had pinkeye was when I am 13 years old. I did asked my girls caregiver if some other kids had it, she said none. Oh well, maybe it was the weather. The unhealthy air.

Lucky for me today I am working from home, so I do not need to take any sick leave. And it is only affected my left eye. Now both my daughters have flu. Just when they are getting better, they got affected by some other illness.

I spread my pinkeye to my relatives who had visited me at my parent's house the other day. I'm sorry guys, I should have warned you earlier not to come.

P/S: May we all be granted with a good health.

After One Month at Daycare

I am still having this mummy guilt whenever we sent our girls to the daycare. Even after one month. Is it normal? Will it go away soon? Both my girls were still crying each time we sent them. Gosh, and the look on my second daughter's face.. I can't get it out of my mind. Those big teary eyes and sad face. I will cry when she said, "Nanti mama balik." (You will come back?")

I can't fully concentrate on what I'm doing at my work. I always checked on my phone, looked at my children's picture. How I wish I am at home taking care of them on my own. I have a lot to let out, seriously.. but it will only be there trapped inside my mind, heart and mouth. There's one night I cried until I sleep.

It has been one month now. My second daughter refuse to eat at her daycare. I cooked and packed her favourite meal and she still doesn't eat. The teacher doesn't know why, me either. Was she not happy? Was she afraid? When the teacher asked her if she wants to eat, she said.. it's OK. She will eat at home. She only drinks her milk. My baby girl on the other hand, eat what I prepared. Not all, but at least she eats. I know my daughters eat a lot, but when she doesn't eat.. I am not happy.

Mr. Fruitheart said I'm a paranoid mother. Yes, I admit it. I know he is worried too, but as a mother and woman.. I worried more than him. I also cannot help myself from being over paranoid. You such an over worried woman Fara!

P/S: Plan.

Mr. Fruitheart's Birthday Gift and The Quarter Bitten Apple

Mr. Fruitheart's birthday was on 17th Aug and he asked for a new work out attire together with new shoe. Of course I agreed to it with no condition and further 'I'll think about it' reply.

But.. however.. lucky him, he got an IMAC instead.

See the happy smily face. OK la, the price for that IMAC more or less equal to the price he paid for our birthday presents and holiday on May. HAHA.

As expected, he played with the new toy until late at night. Should I tell him, no more gadgets after this? But what about iPhone 6?

P/S: My iPhone is not in stable condition, I want the iPhone 6. There you go, needs vs. wants.

My Failed Homemade Pizza

Last weekend we don't have plan to go out so I decided to make pizza. I bought the ready made pizza flour from local grocery store. I just need to add water and yeast. Thank goodness it came with instructions on the box, or else I will have problem to do it. Plus, I didn't buy any yeast and you know what, it was included in the box. Good one!

OK, for the toppings I added pepperoni, shredded chicken and cheese. For the sauce, I used Prego traditional sauce. I do not have pizza sauce by the way. Maybe I should make one on my own.

And here was what it looked like. I baked it using my pemanggang AJAIB.

Forgetful me, I should have added the sauce first before adding all other toppings. Look at the picture, it does look ugly. My sister said it looked like ayam masak merah. Boo hoo hoo. Mr. Fruitheart said, it taste OK but the dough was a bit thick. Oh well, it was my first time. I shall improve after this. I told myself, I should buy the ready made pizza base. I just need to put the sauce, toppings and baked only.
P/S: I'm on my way there to be the professional master chef for my family.

Girls Mini Play Area

Last 2 weeks we went to Ikea. It has been one of our favourite place to hang out. We didn't plan to buy anything actually, except surveying around the price and what to add to the house.
Since Mr. Fruitheart has been given a new task, read that as MORE WORK and need to work different time zone, he moved the computer to the girls room. He made the old place as their new mini play area. He bought a carpet and the additional pink box for their toys. Not a bad idea. Usually they play in front of the TV which annoyed their big brother. Their parents can never get to watch their favourite show whenever they are at home. It is always BabyTV, Disneychannel and Cartoon Network. Mama is bored!
So far they were all happy with the new mini play area. No one making a mess in front of the TV anymore. Good to know that mama didn't have to yell or stepped on the toys. While their big brother has his own room and his toys were kept away from his sisters. Oh he got a new carpet too. He is the happiest and lucky boy that day. Oh that's what he said to us.

P/S: I wish for a landed house with at least 4 rooms. Genie, do you hear me?

Our 2 Night Stay at the Hospital

We had a little hard time for the past few weeks. It was not good at all. It started out with my second daughter who had cough, flu and fever. Then Mr. Fruitheart had it, soon after that my baby girl and lastly my son. Their fever, coughing and flu were on and off.

The ultimate challenge was when my baby girl got admitted to the hospital for 2 days. Her temperature was so high between 39-40'C even though I've given her medicine. We were so worried when she cough and her vomit mixed with blood. That's it, Mr. Fruitheart said we have to bring her to the hospital. She also has red eyes and that makes her right eye smaller than the left eye.

After checking, Doc said she needs to be admitted for further diagnosis.

The heart breaking moment - 10 minutes of torture to the heart. I can't hold my tears and cried. My poor baby.

They took her blood for testing to check if there is any sign of dengue fever or Influenza H1N1. Alhamdulillah syukur, it was negative. She had bacterial infection that caused her throat to be red and the high fever. Her nose was also bleeding from the sneezing.

She is active even though she had her hands wrapped with bandage. She was super cranky because she had difficulty moving around. She even pulled the dripped wire from her hands few times. When they opened the drip for a while, I took her for a walk around the ward. I know she enjoyed it so much. Yeah, she was bored. Each time the nurse came in, she cried because she knew it was medicine time and she doesn't want them to touch her hand.

Baby, mama is so sorry you have to through all this now. You know mama always have this mom guilt whenever something bad happen to you and your siblings. It's not that I don't love you, I do.. with all my heart.

P/S: I love you, abang Syahmie and kakak Arissa so much.
