Favourite Quote of The Week #52 - Memory

“A good snapshot keeps a moment from running away.”
Eudora Welty

Farewell, Dear Mother

25th November 2014 at 3.20AM.

My mother aged 55, had passed away peacefully. My father was beside her when she passed away. Alhamdulillah, everything went well until she was buried. My mother has been sick since the past 9 years. She was diagnosed with a heart valve blockage. And due to that, she has difficulty breathing. She had minor stroke 4 years ago, few weeks before my wedding. Everyday, we pray that my mother will recover. If only my father and mother agree to the operation.. things could be different.

Ya Allah, hamba mu ini redha dengan ketentuanMU.

I had my chance taking care of my mother when she was admitted at the hospital. I told my siblings and my husband that she wouldn't be longer with us. Even the doctor also said that.. just be prepared. The only thing for sure is, we do not know when. It is best for all of us just to be by her side.. always.

Dear Mom,
Losing you is the most painful experience. I've been broken hearted so many times, but this heart broken is beyond words. I missed your smile, your cooking, your advice and care. You have such a kind heart. You are truly my best friend. If they said father is a girl's first love, and you mother will always be a girl's best friend.

I am grateful for having you raising me to be who I am now. I'll remember all you've taught me. I am thanking you mother, for teaching me so well and for having me as your daughter.

It was so hard to hold the tears that came rolling.. when I gave you my last goodbye kiss. It is even harder to hold the tears whenever I think of you.

Farewell.. dear mother. May you rest in peace.

Love always. Fara.

Let Go

I came across this article in Marc and Angel website when I was looking for a nice quotes, as usual. 10 Signs it’s Time to Let Go.

I am only taking this part because I'm in this situation now. My BFF told me, it is good to take a moment to allow yourself to feel frustrated, tired etcs. You have every right to feel how you feel. And I told her, I do not like what I feel and the situation I'm in. And she replied back, eventually.. it will go away which I really hope so.

"You truly dislike your current situation, routine, job, etc. – It’s better to be a failure at something you love than to succeed at doing something you hate.  Don’t let someone who gave up on their dreams talk you out of going after yours.  The best thing you can do in life is follow your heart.  Take risks.  Don’t just make the safe and easy choices because you’re afraid of what might happen.  If you do, nothing will ever happen.  Chances must be taken, mistakes must be made, and lessons must be learned.  It might be an uphill climb, but when you reach that mountaintop it will be worth every ounce of blood, sweat and tears you put into it."

Reminiscing the Year 2014

In 15 days, 2014 will come to an end. Whoosh! Time flies super fast now. I can say this year has been very different for us. We had the best of the best and worse of the worse.

Let's start with the good stuff shall we?
My girls finally has adapted themselves at the new daycare. Once in a while until today, baby girl sometimes cry when we dropped her off. She will be fine, Mr. Fruitheart told me every single time.

My boy finally gone for circumcision. He is a small man now and  I am very proud of his bravery, yes he did cried for little time. He also has his frist time away from us attending school holiday camp recently. He had fun. I am so gald he did!

We had so much fun in Legoland during our holiday in May. Staying in the Legoland Hotel for the first time. My children really enjoyed their stay there. And it will be the only holiday we had for this year.

So here we are.. the not good ones:
My beloved mother passed away last month. She has been ill for the past few months. The feeling of losing her is indescribable. And the frustration of handling with insurance claim.. hmm.. I hate it.

Mr. Fruitheart's IT department has been outsourced. Which means, I have to hold my decision to quit. I was this close to be happy staying at home with my children, and now this. He has been offered with another position, so there is still hope for me. Yes, there is. And I shall stand to the decision that I've made.

I hope for a better day every day. *SMILE*.

When It Comes to Food

This is what happened when one of your family member is good at cooking.. even better if one of them is a Chef!

Home made sausage pizza

My BIL made sausage pizza. Yes it tasted so good! And he also made roasted chicken, unfortunately since the smell was so nice and it taste delicious.. I didn't have the chance to take any pictures. It went straight to the tummy. OK, kalah KR dan AYAMAS. HAHA.

He was so excited making food for all of us after my father bought a new oven for the house. So, without wasting time.. he showed us his cooking skill. He proved to us that he is a good cook! And the happiest tummy goes to.. Mr. Fruitheart and of course my sister who is pregnant. She has a very happy baby in her tummy enjoying his father's cooking.

P/S: I surrender.

She's 25 Months Old

My youngest daughter is 1 year and 1 month old today.

She is 9.5KG, can walk and can talk baby language. She can say MAMA, DADDY, KAKAK and not yet ABANG. She loves nursery rhymes and always smiling when we played it to her. She can even said iPad! Yes Apple, thank you.

Rania with her new shoes and so excited to walk in the mall.

She eats alot. She will come to us whenever we hold food or drinks. I am surprised she knows what we are holding and it can be eaten. She is totally happy when she is surrounded by food. She will say, "NAK". (I want).

Mommy is always her best pillow.

And daddy will always be her first love.

P/S: I will always love you baby girl!

A Trip To Aquaria KLCC

Come December school holidays we are always out of ideas what to do. Pity our son who sometimes complaint.. more to always said he is bored. We are supposed to have mini holiday in Penang but had to cancel it last minute due to work matter.

So, to kill our boredom we decided to bring the kids to Aquaria. Kiddo and girl had been there. It is baby girl turn to have a closer look at those big fishes.

Rania, there's a big shark above you! She is more interested on the arowana.

My 2 other siblings joined us. Girl doesn't want to sit inside her stroller and she is not light. Boleh lenguh pinggang dukung dia. Overall, all of us enjoyed our short trip to Aquaria although we are seeing the same fish.

Favourite Poem of the Week #50 - Of Woman and Chocolate

Chocolate shares both the bitter and the sweet.
Chocolate melts away all cares, coating the heart while smothering every last ache.
Chocolate brings a smile to the lips on contact, leaving a dark kiss behind.
Chocolate is amiable, complimenting any pairing; berries, peanut butter, pretzels, mint, pastries, drinks...everything goes with chocolate.

The very thought of chocolate awakens taste buds, sparking memories of candy-coated happiness.

Chocolate will go nuts with you, no questions asked.
Chocolate craves your lips, melts at your touch, and savors the moment.
Chocolate is that dark and beautiful knight who charges in on his gallant steed ready to slay dragons when needed.
Chocolate never disappoints; it leaves its lover wanting more.
Chocolate is the ultimate satisfaction, synonymous with perfection.
Chocolate is rich, smooth pleasure.
Chocolate has finesse - the charm to seduce and indulge at any time, day or night.
Chocolate is a true friend, a trusted confidant, and faithful lover.
Chocolate warms and comforts and sympathizes.
Chocolate holds power over depression, victory over disappointment.
Chocolate savvies the needs of a woman and owns her.
Simply put, chocolate is paradise.”

Favourite Quote of the Week #49 - Two Faced

When people are two faced, the only thing you'll know for sure is that you can't trust either of them. Don't you hate it when you can't decide which face to slap first? ~ Anon

My Boy is a Small Grown Up Man

Kiddo was supposed to have his circumcision during last December 2013 school holiday. But we had to postponed it to this year after I gave birth to my youngest daughter. He was very well prepared and nervous at the same time. Knowing Mr. Fruitheart very well, he likes to teased him until he cried. Not man enough I said. HEHE.

What does circumcision means:
Male circumcision (from Latin circumcidere, meaning "to cut around") is the surgical removal of the foreskin (prepuce) from the human penis. In a typical procedure, the foreskin is opened and then separated from the glans after inspection. - from Wikipedia

We went to KPJ Tawakal on Friday 21st Nov and the responsible doctor was Doc Al-Amin. Mr. Fruitheart went into the clinic with kiddo while Arissa and I waited outside. It's a MAN thing and it is best for the daddy to be there to comfort him. But I know at the end, he still need his mom's hug and touch. HEHE.

The procedure took about 20 minutes. Kiddo came out with red eyes. I knew he cried and I hugged him. The funny part was when after Doc had put the clamp, kiddo cried and said.. "Daddy, bebird Syahmie dah hancur." (Daddy, my penis is damage.) Mr. Fruitheart and the Doc laughed out loud. Yeah, I did laughed too. Maybe he cannot see his penis inside the clamp, that's why he thought it was damaged.

We went back to KPJ after 3 days to open the clamp. So after a week, he was fully recovered. We can see from his face that he is so proud after the circumcision. Bravo! You are a small grown up man now. You were so brave during the procedure. Mama is so proud of you boy.

P/S: Thank God it went well.
