10 Goals for This Week #27 2015 + Update on Last Week's Goals

Whoa.. Life is so full now days. A lot to update and sometime when the idea is there, the time is not suitable for me to be in front of the computer. Excuses.

Today, I took my boy to see skin specialist. It is confirmed he has ECZEMA. *cries*
For all these years.. I thought it was only normal skin irritation because he scratched it and it bleeds. I am not 100% sure what triggers it. It could be because of the heat and dry weather now. It has been almost 3 weeks. And his right hand are worse than before. It got infected by bacteria. He missed school for almost a week. Doc told me I need to closely monitor his condition. Once it happen again, I need to know what causes it. Tough job there mummy. *Googling bathing products for my boy*

While my youngest, she no longer has fever. She is OK now. Alhamdulillah.
I pray to Allah each day to give me very high patience during this holy month of Ramadhan. Fasting while handling two active toddlers is way too challenging. Breath in.. breath out.

Happy …

Favourite Quote of The Week #26 2015 - Working Hard

Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion. ~ Simon Sinek

On the 7th Day of Ramadhan

Alhamdulillah, we have been fasting for a week now. My boy did not missed a day, although there was one day when he keep on telling me he's hungry. I told him, you can do it. You can hold it until 7.30PM. And yes, he did.

On last Sunday, I cooked steam sea bass for sahur. It was a big one and I had to cut into two. It cannot fit my pemanggang ajaib. And that my fellow readers, my first time using pemanggang ajaib for steaming. I am still looking for a proper steamer.

I should have added some veggies into my dish. It doesn't look fancy. However, Mr. Fruitheart ate it, thank God it doesn't SMELL. You know the fish smell? He can't eat it if the fish is smelly. So I had to put extra ginger, lemongrass and lime leaves. It gives the nice aroma.
I'll improve on the presentation. It looks dull.

I had challenging days. My youngest and my eldest are having skin allergies. My boy has his 'annual' skin irritation. It made him itchy and he scratched until it bleeds. I am no…

10 Goals for This Week #26 2015 + Update on Last Week's Goals

It's MOOOOONNNDDDAAYY again peeps. And it is the fifth day of Ramadhan. I have already missed four days of fasting. Grrr.. Cycle went wrong again. *SIGH*

On the first day of Ramadhan, we went to Wangsa Maju bazaar and had our break fasting at my MIL's house. I have not seen the price has gone up so far. On second day, we had our break fasting at my father's house. We were supposed to be having our yearly break fasting but plan changed since my sister feels like she's going to be giving birth already. But no, the baby decided to take his own sweet time inside her mom's tummy.

On the third day of Ramadhan, we went to Bdr. Baru Salak Tinggi bazaar. Too many stalls and I find nothing special that I like. Same thing.. popia, chicken rice, fried foods, beriyani, satay and the list goes on. On average we spent RM25 per day. And on Sunday, we went to TTDI bazaar. As expected, samosa is RM1! Sorry, no buying samosa at TTDI. My boy's favourite Uncle Bob chicken is RM7 (in …

A Mother's First World Problem

I was going through my Facebook time line and saw this post from Money Saving Mom. I couldn't agree more. It is so ME! Then I tagged Mr. Fruitheart, he replied.. sooooo true with a ghost icon. Not a surprise ey?

A lot of times we've been talking about being away on vacation without the kids. Mr. Fruitheart said, what's the worse can happen to our children? He even added, they would be even more happier with no-yelling-mummy around. Sobs sobs. Hashtag - theclingymom.

My numero uno concern is of course WHO can and willingly to take care of my kids. We do not have a maid. My MIL already said Nooooooooooo which automatically my FIL said no too. HEHE. My father is still working on alternate shift, so does my other siblings. The only one left is my sister who is soon going to give birth. Not like I'm going tomorrow. Heh. By the time I am going for a holiday, my nephew is already a big boy.

Taking care of additional three children and two of her own is NOT going to be easy. Bu…

Favourite Quote of The Week #25 2015 - Ramadhan

"Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." ~ [Sahih Bukhari Vol. 3 Book 32, No. 226]

Salam Ramadhan 1436H

Welcoming the month full of blessing - Ramadhan. Tomorrow, all Muslims around the world will start their fasting. That also mean, solat Tarawih will start tonight.

Wishing all my Muslim readers, Salam Ramadhan. I hope you will achieve the purification of the soul upon commemorating the month of Ramadhan.

P/S: Controlling ourselves from buying too much at the food bazaar. RM20 per day for the five of us, insyAllah.

Small Surprise for My Boy

I such a bad mom, I lied to my child. On 30th May, I planned a surprised birthday party for my boy. I told everyone except him that it is a small party for his aunt. He bought it! He really didn't know until it was cake cutting time.

I even asked him to change his clothes and he still didn't know. I am such a great actress.

I baked the cake by myself. It is an instant cake, just mixed eggs, water and vegetable oil. Walla! You have a cake. Sorry my dear son, I lied and the cake was not as you expected. He wanted BR ice cream cake. I didn't have time to go and buy it. Plus, everyone else is also working.

My sister helped me to cook fried rice and oglio olio. There's finger foods as well - chicken nuggets and drummet for the kids to enjoy. I called few of my aunties to join too. They were also excited about the bouncer. Sorry, it is for kids only.

The bouncer cost me RM360 for 3 hours (including delivery). They had fun and really enjoy. Some of my cousins also told me to rent…

6 Goals for This Week #25 2015 + An Update of Last 2 Week's Goals

WOW! Life has been full there past weeks. I hardly have time to update my blog and I have few pending stories to post. Sheesh! In few days, Muslims around the world are going to be fasting for a month during Ramadhan. Syukur Alhamdulillah, we meet again. Month to do good deeds. Insyallah.

Mr. Fruitheart just came back from India on work trip on Sunday. Finally, daddy is home. My children were so excited to see their daddy again. I know they missed him A LOT! So do I. HEHE. What to do, I am the clingy wife. I hope he will not be away again. And school holidays ended on Sunday as well. So the road is back to it's normal condition - congested!

Me on the other hand, doesn't look forward to step my foot in the office. They said it is not about Monday that you don't like.. it is because of the work. Well they're correct, and that is why it is called Monday blues. Should be called work-blues.

And here are this week's goals:

Ensure my children drink a…

Just The Four of Us - Day 19th

I looked back at my post and I noticed there isn't a post about the first day or day after when Mr. Fruitheart is away. Wow! My life is so full that I forgot. It has been 19 days he is away to India. He will be back on Sunday 14th June. Another three days to go.

Me and my kids are staying at my father's house while Mr. Fruitheart is away. Since it is school holiday and my baby sister has continued her study, there's no one that can stay with me at my house. So I have to bring everyone to Banting and take turn in taking care of my kids. I went to the office early morning and continue working from home in the afternoon. Right now, I wish I didn't take back my resignation letter and just proceed with my plan. :(

My kids are so happy staying at their grandfather's house. They have their uncles and aunties entertaining them. Thanks to technology, we can have facetime session everyday.

I hope this will be the last time Mr. Fruitheart has to travel. The kids really missing t…

Favourite Phrase of The Week #24 2015 - Work

Life is short. And sadly, we spend most of it working. So you might as well be doing something you like! Some are lucky to land their dream jobs and love it. Not all of us are that lucky, but at least we can be happy. If you aren’t, then it’s time to make that change. Remember, quitting doesn’t make you a quitter, in this case, it makes you brave. 5 Goals for This Week #23 2015 + Update on Last Week's Goals

We are entering June 2015, half year has passed. Mid term school holiday finally has started, my children and I are at my father's house. Balik kampung.. ooOOoo balik kampung.. Hati girang. We're been here for four days and yeah my children are happy to spend time with their uncles and aunties.

Last Saturday, I surprised my boy with a small birthday party. I invited his friends who are staying nearby, including adults not more than 20 people. I rented a bouncer castle for them to play with. He told me, it was the best birthday party ever. Yeah kiddo, anything for your happiness. I told him we might not have a party every year, but we will make sure you get the best.

I've been counting and it is 12 more days until Mr. Fruitheart returning from India. Hang on there kids. We have facetime session every night. Not forgetting my second daughter had fever a day after he left and yesterday. Tough day for me. Boo hoo hoo. Both my girls are clingy when their daddy is not around. So d…
